SpeechWorks Volunteers/Practicums:
Speechworks Inc offers opportunities for people interested in volunteering. We have University students meeting volunteer requirements for their graduate program application and retirees interested in contributing to the wellbeing of others. They all help maintain our spirit of excellence, challenge, and excitement which makes us unique.
If you would like to volunteer we need people to:
- Assist with our Storytelling Group
- Work in The Brainworks Lab
- Provide technical support
- Provide clerical support
All volunteers are trained and sign a confidentiality agreement. Clients have the option of refusing assistance from volunteers which is a rare occurrence.
 University Practicums:
Speechworks Inc. offers opportunities for Graduate Students in Speech-Language Pathology to gain practical experience with communication disorders and delays. Supervison is done with a collaborative approach and will push you to use your brain in the same way the clients are. "Without Fail" this will be one of your best "Hands On" learning experiences in your portfolio.
All students are supervised by Certified Therapists who meet supervision requirements of US and Canadian organizations*.
*Clients have the option of refusing assistance from students.
